Senator Ben-Murray Bruce has lamented over the state of the educational sector in Nigeria.
Murray-Bruce pointed out that the Federal Government is spending a lot of money prospecting for oil in Northern Nigeria.
Murray-Bruce believes that this trend should not continue as there are other sectors that needs immediate attention such as educating the reported 12 million out of school children.
Murray-Bruce also pointed out that focusing on oil exploration at a time when the world is phasing out crude oil is a risky adventure. He pointed to the situation of Venezuela, the country with the largest crude oil reserves in the world, who has been experiencing economic crisis.
