The Kano state police command has arrested a teenager for murder. According to reports, the teenage girl identified simply as Mariya was arrested for stabbing her elder brother to death at their home in Badawa area of Nasarawa local government in Kano state.

Nigerians Reply El-Rufai Over Comment On Northern, Southern Nigeria

Nigerians have taken to social media to reply to Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, Kaduna state Governor, over his comment on the state of the country. Speaking at the Northern Youth Summit in Kaduna organized by Northern Hibiscus, an NGO, he described Nigeria as that of two countries in one: a developing South and a backward, less educated and unhealthy north, with the highest number of poor people in the world.
