The Federal Government on Friday threatened to shut down the Enugu airport over poor positioning of the market and state broadcast mast, which according to it, is obstructing safe flight operations. 303 cartons of tramadol intercepted by Kano state police command

The Kano State Police Command has intercepted 303 cartons of Tramadol Tablets which were being transported to the state. The state police commissioner Wakili Muhammad, while speaking with reporters on Friday in Kano said that the illicit drugs were intercepted at No. 157 Miller Road Bompai Nassarawa LGA Kano, at a certain Ugo Lab Manufacturing company after the police had been tipped off.

Ogun police arrest 19 year old for killing his 17-year-old friend over N200

The Ogun state police command has arrested a 19-year-old apprentice welder in the Agbado area of the state, Kehinde Adeoye for the murder of his friend, Lukman Olawunmi(left), aged 17. Reports have it that Kehinde and Lukman who were friends for many years and both learning how to make cans at different shops, had issues following an umbrella repair shop from Lukman to his friend Kehinde who knew how to fix Umbrellas.

Ademola Adeleke Goes To Supreme Court

Senator Ademola Adeleke, the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) gubernatorial candidate during the last general election in Osun state has served the Supreme Court with a notice of appeal after the appellate court ruled against him. Ademola Adeleke is contesting the victory of Gboyega Oyetola, the All Progressive Congress(APC) candidate who was declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) during the gubernatorial poll in the state.

Ondo State governor, Rotimi Akeredolu warned by Presidential Committee against promoting cannabis

Rotimi Akeredolu has been warned by the Presidential Advisory Committee for the Elimination of Drug Abuse against advocating for the legalization of growing of cannabis in Nigeria for whatever purpose. The warning is coming four days after Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State advised that the  Federal Government embrace the cultivation of medicinal cannabis, also known as Indian hemp, in the country.
