The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared March 9, 2019 governorship election in Kano State inconclusive.
After the announcement of the 44 local governments, All Progressives Congress who polled 987,819 votes trailed the Peoples Democratic Party who 1,014,474 votes.
The difference between the two parties is 26,665 votes.
The electoral commission declared the election as a result of a high number of canceled votes. The commission has also ordered a rerun in areas where elections were canceled in different parts of the State.
