A state high court sitting in Yola, Adamawa has ordered that the Independent National Electoral Commission should halt its plan of conducting a re-run election in Adamawa State.
Adamawa State is one of the six states that the electoral commission declared to have inconclusive elections. The commission scheduled the re-run for March 23 2019.
Justice Abdulaziz Waziri of state high court 4 made the decision, following a motion ex parte filed by Movement of Restoration for Defence of Democracy (MRPD).
MRPD party claimed that its logo was excluded from the March 9 governorship election conducted in the state.
