‘I’m Sorry The Government Failed You’, Lover Mourns Kolade Johnson

Stephany George, the lover of Kolade Johnson,  a football fan, who was shot dead by policemen from the Anti-Cultism Unit (SARS) of Lagos State Command, says the Nigerian government led by President Muhammadu Buhari failed the deceased.

Naija News had reported earlier that Johnson’s death occurred when an unmarked commercial bus visited Mangoro/Onipetesi community in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city, on Sunday afternoon in search of youths dressed wildly and rocking dreadlocks.

In an attempt to disperse a crowd which had gathered during the raid, one of the police operatives shot dead Johnson, who was trying to leave the scene after watching English Premier League match between Liverpool and Tottenham.

Reacting to the ugly incident, Ms George said Johnson’s “only offence was going out to watch football.”

She lamented that she was not there to stop the bleeding when her “lion and chef” was shot dead.

Her words: “My Kaylo Boy is gone! My ‘Lion’ … my chef… my precious Kolade Johnson… I’m so sorry it ended this way… I’m sorry i wasn’t there to stop the bleeding… I’m sorry the government failed you… I’m sorry.

“Uncle @segalink; @PoliceNG @MBuhari @ProfOsinbajo @BBCAfrica look at what SARS did to my 1f494 - ‘I’m Sorry The Government Failed You’, Lover Mourns Kolade JohnsonKay. Nigerians see oo. His only offence was going out to watch football.
