It is not looking good for the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in Rivers as a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja grant has ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) to halt the collation and announcement of the result of the last Gubernatorial poll in the state.
The commission announced last week that it would make known to the public its decision on the election by tomorrow, Wednesday, having suspended all electoral processes in the state following widespread electoral malpractices.
Nysom Wike of PDP who currently leads its closest opponent, Engr. Awara Biokpomabo, of the African Action Congress, (AAC), by over fifty thousand votes, was hopeful of being declared a winner until court halted the electoral umpire from making the declaration.
INEC would now await further directives from the law court before proceeding with its decision.
